Written in a different generation but relevant to all generations.
Somewhat simply written but it's an inspiring book with some 'good values' teaching tucked in here and there.
I had previously read "In His Steps" and enjoyed it. This book is very good. It takes you through many different moral dilemmas and requires you to think about what you would do in the same situation!
I was so moved by Sheldon's book, IN HIS STEPS, choosing to read another of this author's works was easy. And it did not disappoint! The story line is creative and inspiring. Eternal truths are demonstrated through the living of life by a middle American family. I recommend to all seeking a good read with redeeming value!
This is a very moving story about how a Christian Family could and should work in real life. It is a quick read but very moving and inspiring. Charles Sheldon is an excellent story teller and he even read this book to his church on Sunday nights chapter by chapter.
I only wish more Christian families would apply the gospel in such a practical way.
This book was a blessing to me; it talks about living the Christian life, principles of Christian friendship, and family difficulties in the Christian home. It is an older book, so should be read with the understanding that it is a Christian classic. This book has older English, but is not at all hard to follow. This is a delightful historical read for those who want to gain insight on the difficulties faced by historic American Christians.
